Ali, which tells the tragic story of a family who live in a small Anatolian town, unveils the difficult times a young man experiences due to gastric cancer. In his mid-twenties, Ali finds out that he has cancer after he faints while diving with his friends. Isolating himself from his surroundings during the unresponsive treatment process, Ali first pushes his new girlfriend Aslı away. He then stops talking to his friends and even shuts himself down toward his family. Day after day, Ali’s father Cemil, who does everything he can for his son’s treatment, will deteriorate along with his son. The film that brings to mind the question “what would you have
done?”, leaves the audience as judges to the father’s actions.
