Inter Medya at Mipcom 2017

Turkish content distributor Inter Medya successfully concluded another MIPCOM. This year, the world’s leading content market MIPCOM took place between October 16-19 in Cannes, France. The Founder and CEO of Inter Medya, Can Okan explained: “MIPCOM is always one of our busiest markets. Featuring prospective buyers and long-time clients from around the world, MIPCOM is a great opportunity for us to reconnect with our customers and present our newest titles.”

Inter Medya’s already large catalogue saw the addition of one new drama series this market. Produced by Turkey’s Avsar Film, MRS. FAZILET AND HER DAUGHTERS was launched by the company for the first time. Its viewership increasingly rising in Turkey, the series attracted a lot of interest from global buyers and the company concluded a number of deals in various territories. Another exciting development came for HAYAT, Bi Yapim’s recent dramedy. “We have secured a deal in Sri Lanka, where interest in Turkish series is taking off,” said Can Okan.

Entering the format world a couple of years earlier, Inter Medya also launched several entertainment formats at MIPCOM. MONEY MONSTER was in fact presented at the Fresh TV conference by The Wit’s Virginia Mouseler as a highlight in the quiz show category. 1 vs. 10, another new format by BKM aroused great attention from buyers, especially in western Europe.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2017, Inter Medya also organized its much-anticipated party at Plage Royale on Tuesday night. Hosting about 750 guests from the industry, the party has become a traditional event at every MIPCOM. “The party gives us a chance to see our clients and friends, network with prospective buyers and celebrate the market MIPCOM in general,” mentioned Can Okan.
